FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC (FRP)
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN VENTS (PVC, POLYPROPLYENE & PVDF)
For those instances when chemicals being stored are particularly aggressive
or corrosive to vents of metal construction, Protectoseal offers a full
line of pressure and/or vacuum relief devices manufactured from nonmetallic
materials. These vents often provide superior service life and may be
considered as an alternative to the use of vents protected by coatings,
or vents manufactured from exotic metals.
FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC
(FRP) vents are exceptionally rugged. The unique one-piece housing
and hand lay-up construction eliminates seams, insuring integrity of the
vent throughout a long service life. Glass reinforcing fibers, coupled
with careful choice of plastic resin, provides maximum resistance to the
effects of strong corrosive media. Standard resins of construction include
Derakane 470®, Derakane 411® and Furan.
 THERMOPLASTIC
RESIN (PVC, POLYPROPLYENE & PVDF) vents are highly resistant
to acids and chemically hostile environments, yet extremely rugged and
durable in construction. The vents are constructed using no metal parts
including exterior hardware. This will ensure a long service life in corrosive
atmospheres.
