PROTECTOSEAL SAFETY FUEL TANK CAP WITH FLASH ARRESTER

Protectoseal Safety Fuel Tank Caps with Flash Arresters are intended for installation at the fuel tank opening of gasoline or diesel powered industrial trucks and equipment such as Forklift Trucks, Tractors and Airport Utility Vehicles.
• A manually engaged compression spring latch ensures sealing of the large cap opening at low pressures, while also providing automatic pressure relief if the tank pressure increases beyond normal limits (preventing tank rupture)
  
• The perforated metal flash arrester prevents external flames from entering the vapor space of the fuel tank (preventing ignition of the confined vapors)
  
• A torsion spring returns the cap to its closed position, except when the cap is being held open during fueling operations
  
• A small hole in the cap assembly screw provides a continuous open path between the tank and atmosphere to allow makeup air to enter the tank for vacuum relief.
  
• A padlock opening in the lever provides lockability to prevent theft or unauthorized access
  
• The small openings in the flash arrester also act as strainers to prevent particulate matter from entering the fuel tank
  
• Flash arresters provided in straight or tapered configurations
  
• Models available to accommodate a wide range of sizes and styles of fuel tank connections (male threads, female threads, easy-on fittings)
