Protectoseal Appoints Mike Halfpenny as Director of Quality and Safety

Michael Browner2025-02-05T09:26:23+00:00

Protectoseal is delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Halfpenny as the company’s new Director of Quality and Safety. Mike brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise, having spent several years in senior roles across various sectors of the industrial and engineering industries.

Before joining Protectoseal, Mike worked at Power Plant Services, where he held positions including Manager of Process and most recently was Director of Corporate Quality. Over the years, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of operations management, engineering, and quality assurance, making him a natural fit for his new role at Protectoseal.

With a background that spans roles as an Engineering Manager, Design Engineer, Quality Manager and Plant and Operations Manager, Mike has honed his skills in maintaining operational efficiency while ensuring safety standards are met across all levels of production.

One of the key things that attracted Mike to Protectoseal was how well established and widely recognized its product line is, and in his new role he is eager to work alongside a leadership team that is equally committed to upholding the company’s dedication to excellence and innovation.

Mike is determined to build on the company’s strong reputation for being leaders in the field of safety and drive the company to explore new ways of improving both safety and efficiency while adhering to the highest quality standards.

Looking ahead, Mike hopes the industry will come to more openly acknowledge the critical importance of protecting against risk. He believes that Protectoseal’s products, which include Flame Arresters, Pressure and Vacuum Relief Vents, Emergency Relief Vents, and Tank Blanketing Valves, will continue to be recognized as the safest choice for creating a secure environment in the years ahead.

Away from his new role at Protectoseal, Mike enjoys spending time with his four children, two of whom are currently in college in Texas. An avid sports enthusiast, Mike is involved in organized softball, volleyball, and bowling leagues, and when he is not competing, he loves to unwind by spending time on his farm. He is also a big fan of live music and sporting events and embraces any opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, especially during the warmer months.

Mike’s appointment is an exciting step for Protectoseal as the company continues to grow and enhance its commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. With his experience and vision, there is no doubt that Mike will make a significant impact in shaping the company’s future.

We wish Mike all the best in his new role and look forward to seeing the positive changes he will undoubtedly bring to Protectoseal.
